Donnelly's Catholic identity is at the heart of all we do and the wellspring from which our mission flows. Our academic community is committed to the vision of Catholic higher education expressed by Pope Saint John Paul II in his Apostolic Constitution Ex corde Ecclesiae. Here the Church provides us with essential keys to understanding the nature and mission of a Catholic college. We ask all candidates applying for a position to consider this document, as well as Donnelly’s mission, vision, and values statements, to ensure that their professional goals, values, and practices are in alignment with them.

The College seeks to steward and pass on this tradition to its students through their course of studies and is, therefore, committed to hiring candidates who desire to participate in and hand on the riches of Catholic intellectual life and thought.

Interested faculty candidates must provide:

In their cover letter, candidates should demonstrate an understanding of and support for the mission of the College. In their philosophy of teaching statement, candidates should express how their teaching philosophy fits with the Catholic Church’s vision of higher education expressed in Ex corde Ecclesiae.
